Summerset Group Holdings Sustainability Report
Designing a climate focused digital publication that communicates impact with clarity and intention.

Mission
Role: Marketing Graphic Designer,
Summerset Retirement Village NZ
Summerset is one of New Zealand’s leading retirement village providers, with a strong focus on community wellbeing and long term sustainability. Each year the organisation publishes a Sustainability Report to demonstrate progress, outline environmental commitments, and provide transparent insight for residents, families, investors, and stakeholders. For this edition, Summerset shifted to a digital format to reduce its environmental footprint and bring greater clarity to the information being shared.
My role was to reshape a complex volume of data into a purposeful, screen-first publication that remained clear, engaging, and easy to navigate.
Working with the sustainability, finance, and communications teams, I designed infographics, tables, and icons to translate detailed initiatives such as EV fleet expansion and emissions reduction. Every visual element was crafted to maintain accuracy while making dense content more approachable.
I refined imagery and built layouts that balanced the
warmth of the Summerset brand with the precision
expected in formal reporting.
I guided the structure, hierarchy, and visual language of the entire document, ensuring it met climate goals, upheld brand integrity, and delivered information with confidence and clarity. The final report presents complex content in a cohesive digital reading experience that reflects Summerset’s commitment to responsible and transparent practice.
